New Pedal Harps

H. Bryan & Co. builds new harps to the customer’s specification using the Camac action.   Our policy of building to order permits us to design instruments with the acoustical qualities the customer needs. 

We have developed soundboard design principles and use technology that enable us to build harps that are consistently exceptionally responsive, and that offer unusually large dynamic range.  The choice of bright vs. warm sound and the relative stiffness of the board are decisions our customers make when ordering their harps.

Other custom features include:

• Handpainted soundboards based on the customer’s design

• The choice of wood for the exterior of the harp, not just stained maple

• Column shape within the functional limits of the harp and its mechanism.
